Babek Hasanov Saleh oglu was born on September 14, 1990 in Birinji Shikhli village of Gazakh district. In 1996, he entered the first class of the Birinji Shikhli secondary school named after Musa Hasanov, and in 2007 he completed the school. In 2008, he was called up for military service and was discharged in 2009.
In 2013-2018, he served in the Azerbaijan Armed Forces as an overtime active military serviceman. On October 26, 2020, by the Order of the President “On declaring partial mobilization in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the Gazakh District Branch of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijan involved him in partial military mobilization.
Babek Hasanov showed bravery in the battles for the liberation of Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Lachin. On November 4, 2020, he was heroically martyred in the battles for the freedom of the Azerbaijani lands in the direction of Lachin district. A day later, he was laid to rest in the Birinji Shikhli village cemetery.
Babek was married. He left a daughter named Afsana behind.
By the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, Babek Hasanov was posthumously awarded the medals "For the Motherland", "For the Liberation of Jabrayil", "For the Liberation of Lachin", "For the Liberation of Gubadli" and "For Military Services".
