In the same year, he was admitted to the Energy Faculty of the Azerbaijan state Oil Academy. His family, who could not be apart from Kamran, moved with him to Baku. Kamran, who graduated from the university in 2018, was called up for military service. He served in Khoshbulag village of Dashkasan for 1 year. He completed his service on July 1, 2019. On his 24th birthday in 2020, he started working on his specialty. However, he worked in that job for only 14 days.



On September 28, he left for the Patriotic War at the call of the Mobilization Service. Jabrayil fought heroically in the battles for the liberation of Gubadli city. He talked to his mother on October 18 for the last time. Two days later, Kamran called his father and said that they will change the direction. This was the last call from Kamran…



October 24 Kamran's mother feels a strange anxiety, which was growing as they didn’t receive any call from Kamran. They couldn’t get any news from him.



On the day of victory, Kamran's father was called and asked some questions about the documents. When the family hoped to get some news from Kamran, his uncle had already received the bad news.



Kamran wrote a letter to his family in the last moments of his life. In the letter, he wrote:
“My dear father, mother and sister.
I have been injured for two days and there is no help. Today is October 23.



I was wounded on October 21. Many of my comrades-in-arms were martyred. I'm injured in my leg, I can't walk. I am stuck here.
If I am martyred, give your blessings. Hold your head up. I hope we will meet in heaven”.



Kamran’s comrades-in-arms say that he was an exemplary soldier in military service.
He was awarded nine diplomas of distinction in service.



By the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, Kamran Valizade was awarded with medals "For the Motherland", "For the Liberation of Jabrayil", "For the Liberation of Gubadli".
