Karimov Emil Ilgar oglu was born on September 7, 1993 in Ikinji Shikhli village of Gazakh district. In 2000, he entered the 1st grade of the Ikinji Shikhli village secondary school named after Valeh Musayev, and in 2011, he completed the school.
In October 2011, he was called up for active military service in the Azerbaijan Armed Forces by the Gazakh District Branch of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and was discharged in April 2013.
On October 25, 2020, Emil was heroically martyred in the fighting in the Fuzuli-Gabrayil region. He was laid to rest in Ikinji Shikhli village, where he was born and raised.
He was married and left two young children behind - a daughter named Nazenin and a son named Amin.
By the orders of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, he was awarded the medals "For the Motherland", "For distinction in battle" and "For the liberation of Fuzuli".
