Ilham Huseynov was born on September 8, 2000, in the Garayazi village, Goychay district. His biggest wish was to participate in the liberation of Azerbaijan’s occupied territories. He achieved to realize his dream and even sacrificed his life for his land.
After graduating from high school, Ilham went to active military service in 2018. He was awarded an honorary order many times for his exemplary services.
Ilham Huseynov, who became an army reserve in April 2020, joined the training on September 21, 2020. He participated in the battles of the Patriotic War that started on September 27. His war path started from the direction of Tapgaragoyunlu village of Goranboy.
The last time Ilham Huseynov contacted his family was on October 2. On October 10, he was martyred in heavy battles.
According to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, he was posthumously granted the medals "For Bravery", "For the Liberation of Lachin", "For the Liberation of Sugovushan" and "For the Homeland".
