| The Azerbaijani Flag Order of the republic of Azerbaijan has been established by the Law 756 dated 6 December 1993. It is given for the following services: distinguished contributions to the national independence movement and social and political development in the Republic of Azerbaijan; distinguished contributions to the military science and development of military equipment; distinguished service in defending independence and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan; for distinguished services in keeping peace and order in the country and distinguished military service; and for distinguished service in protecting state borders of the country. |
